adidas Originals – SPEZIAL ‘Alpine Luxe Collection’

adidas Originals – SPEZIAL ‘Alpine Luxe Collection’

Back now for the third collection, Gary Aspen has curated another range of apparel and footwear for this season, which draws on their heritage and inspiration from two significant landmarks.

The latest adidas Originals x SPEZIAL Alpine Luxe collection follows on from the classic adidas Freizeit of the 1970’s. The term which translates to ‘Free-Time’ it focuses more on the leisure and casual scenario, rather than performance. The two locations of Merseyside and Innsbruck play an important influence in to the collection. Liverpool was a cultural hub for casuals and football hooliganism during the 1970’s, while Austria played host to the first Winter Olympics in 1976, in which a large majority of athletes were wearing the Three Stripes.

The range sees 1980’s inspired tracksuit come into the collection taking inspiration from the musical influences of the brand and offering some comfortable yet smart apparel for leisure and travel. Other pieces in the collection feature outerwear, trainers, tees, hoodies, crew neck sweats and long sleeve polo shirts.

The lookbook documents this cultural duality, with Bill Ryder-Jones travelling from his native Liverpool to Innsbruck decked out in the 18-piece strong collection which covers all bases. Be on the look for the adidas Originals Alpine Luxe Spezial collection to hit select retailers from 19th September
