Mary Katrantzou for adidas Originals S/S15
If money wasn’t an object, most of us fashion worshipers wouldn’t hesitate one second on splashing out on our favorites designer’s garments. Because, lets face it, nobody can really resist the intrinsic and exquisite allure of high fashion.
Anyone who appreciates beauty and art, in any of its forms, knows that to posses an item from a designer’s collection, it’s almost like possessing an original piece of fine art from a museum; it is a rare, mesmerizing and, unfortunately many times, unlikely scenario.
Luckily, thanks to the adidas Originals scheme, we are now one step closer to making this unreachable dream a reality!
For a second year in a row, Greek fashion designer Mary Katrantzou has been working in collaboration with adidas to create an absolutely stunning spring/summer 2015 collection. This features her striking signature Technicolor prints displayed all over chic yet playful sports attire, of course, always accompanied by utterly cool footwear.
The entire collection is breathtakingly original and undeniably eye catching. It is a fresh take on the 80’s active wear with more than one twist, featuring a down-town/up-town look in one single attire; Did you ever think that you could wear the exact same outfit that you wore to the gym for that special evening party? Well, now you can!
The precise architectural ensemble of each garment makes a strong tailoring statement of high quality, elegance and sophistication while the carefully selected colour palette and the symmetric use of kinetic illustrations gives it an exuberant young feeling to the entire outfit. Mix all of the above and you have got fashion magic, which is exactly what this collection is.
This collection really has it all, from aesthetics to inventiveness to comfort to affordability. A collector’s paradise. Truly.
