PUMA Launches first collaboration with New York creative Vashtie for S/S15
PUMA continues with its New York take over projects, and this time they announce their debut Spring/Summer collection with Vashtie Kola. Vashtie, as she’s more commonly known is the quintessential New York ‘It Girl’. The New York based artist, filmmaker, DJ and designer symbolizes the intersection of drive, talent and culture of Downtown New York City. She’s a style icon who’s influence has spread worldwide.
The partnership draws heavily on New York cultures, as it takes influence from the Hip-Hop and B-Boy scene that emerged during the 1980’s and 90’s. PUMA has previous connections with the scene so it’s a paring that both have roots in.
Classic styles have been reworked in fresh new materials to sit alongside a range of ready to wear unisex pieces in black, gold and burgundy combinations. Popular silhouettes will be seen, such as the R698 and States which have been ever-present on the streets of New York for decades.
The PUMA x Vashtie Spring/Summer 2015 collection will be available from 28th February with further pieces coming soon after.
