Trail running trainers and street cred don’t usually go hand in hand, but Nike designer Peter Fogg changed that when he created the Air Terra Humara.

By 1997 Nike had a serious line up of outdoor ready products, including the ground breaking ACG range, which had made quite a name for itself due to its consistent output of great designs and durable, quality products. A range that the Air Terra Humara would’ve comfortably sat within.

Named after the Sierra Tarahumara terrain and the long distance runners that inhabit it, these extremely durable trainers are made to withstand the lengths of time and this pair that we’re featuring is stone cold proof.

17 years after their release, these worn yet seemingly bullet-proof trainers are still going strong, only succumbing to a mere outsole separation. With water and abrasion resistant uppers, Goatek traction and BRS 1000 Carbon rubber outsoles, these were designed to make sure that you’d get worn out a thousand times before they would and it’s this attribute that made them so popular amongst trail runners and inner city Streetwear enthusiasts alike.

Nike released a fair share of Air Terra Humara’s over the years, sticking to the models original DNA. Towards the end of 2012 Nike released an updated version featuring an Air Max unit, ensuing mixed reactions throughout the community.
