adidas Originals paid tribute to 10 years since the opening of the Harajuki Tokyo store and in doing so they released these special editions in December 2011, limited to only 150 pairs.
adidas Superstars are an undying model, easily identified by the inimitable rubber shelltoe. The ‘Made in Tokyo’ Superstars are polished yet refined, representing Tokyo’s street style and affinity for the colour black.
They consist of a black and white colour way, tumbled leather and Aztec fabric trim upper, complete with embossing on the heel and a detailed rounded rubber tongue. A soft sheep skin inner and suede sock lining made from Clarion; ensures a functional and breathable wear. The woven heel tab positioned slightly off-centre accentuates the embossed logo on the heel. The laces and heel tab are patterned with a tan and black colouring matching the insole also bearing the 10th Anniversary text. The number of the shoe can be found below the rubber tongue as well as on the soft leather tag attached, numbered in gold.
The variety of material provides style, sleekness and comfort. The rubber tongue, a modern element compliments the leather well. Not only does this silhouette look good it is practical and so highly recommended.
