PUMA Celebrates 25 Years of the Disc System With the Ignite Disc Sleeve
Back in the ’90s, PUMA’s patented Disc closure system changed the way select sneakers were designed. The heralded technology allowed for a removal of laces, as it implemented an internal wire system that tightened the upper in order to create a custom fit. Still going strong over two decades later, PUMA updates the technology and introduces the Ignite Disc Sleeve.
The contemporary iteration boasts Ignite Foam, an updated and slimmer Disc System and a minimalist upper for a snug fit. Debuting in a range of colourways, the sleek low-top is essentially a slip-on take on the original Ignite runner and ditches lacing in favour of a foam-constructed web overlay — one aided by PUMA’s tried-and-true Disc technology.
PUMA’s new and improved Ignite Disc Sleeve will be available with select retailers including Size? and ASOS in the near future.
