The Gazelle Vintage x WOOD WOOD is an adidas Originals Consortium all women’s collection that was part of a three-way pack. WOOD WOOD is a Danish clothing label and retailer. They pre-released the collection within their WOOD WOOD stores December 1st 2012.

The shoe has an accentuated handcrafted feel, with detailed hand stitching on the 3-stripes, heel tab and laces. The silhouettes golden hue resembles the likes of actual wood granting a rustic feel. Additionally the unique cork sock liner screen-printed with both the Trefoil and WOOD WOOD logos.

This Gazelle is well balanced; the simplicity of the upper and delicate hand stitching gives the shoe a polished feel. Consortiums releases allow for more creative collaborations between adidas and specialty boutiques, which revitalise and bring new life to classic silhouettes. It is always exciting to see how these collaborations will lend their creativity and to what extent and yes adidas is one for pushing the boundaries and putting inventiveness first.
