The second Adidas x SPEZIAL exhibition may still be open but curator Gary Aspden is still at it, and this time he’s working with the renowned Manchester store Oi Polloi. Gary and the store owner Nigel Lawson created an all-new silhouette which they have nicknamed the adidas Ardwick. Taking its name from after the Manchester suburb Ardwick Park, they feature a green suede upper inspired by Nigel’s favourite Lacoste polo. The matching tonal laces and dark brown sole complete the classy looking shoe. Set to be released in November through the store and their site they won’t hang around long.

Ardwick.. Topanga.. California..
I first held the Topanga sample in my hand some 17 months ago and couldn’t believe what I was looking at! that orangey brown suede, the foxing on the midsole the zigzag gum sole, something had changed, someone at adidas had stepped up, someone knew what the lads wanted… at last
