AIKO – Footwear (Orion)

The footwear market is a notoriously hard one to break in to, with many falling before they’ve stepped two feet in to it. With rivalry coming from some of the biggest brands across the globe, there are a few who manage to carve out a lane for themselves and become a success. One of the most recent who have done so and worth keeping an eye on is AIKO.

In the coming weeks they will release their debut silhouette called the Orion. The clean looking shoe effortlessly blends style, with traditional and urban design elements. With the addition of rugged details, d-ring eyelets, an upper constructed from water-repellent Scotchgard tape, they’re just as functional as they are appealing.

A total of four versions in ten colourways will be released; including uppers comprised of nubuck, soft-shell polyurethane, melton wool and tumbled leather. The AIKO Orion will release with KITH from 15th August and then direct from the AIKO website following that. More styles and models are promised for Spring/Summer 2016 so be sure to keep an eye on this new brand.
