adidas ZX5000 25th Anniversary

adidas ZX5000 25TH Anniversary

MADE ON: 06/13

adidas has created a lot of great shoes over the years; arguably though one of its most iconic is the ZX range, which even after almost three decades is still going strong with the recent release of the ZX Flux.

Earlier this year for the 25th anniversary of the ZX range, adidas decided to turn things on their head and release a ZX5000 that was the inverted colours of the original colourway. The Jacques Chassaing designed shoe released alongside a ZX8000 and ZX9000 which all came with synthetic and mesh uppers.

The Orange and Gold highlights pop against the Carbon on the upper, which sits atop a dark red midsole and stark contrasting white outsole. This combination creates a real head turner of a shoe. The shoe is not just about looks, the sole features a TORSION bar, which is synonymous with the ZX range, and Soft Cell technology in the heel; making this not only a head turner but also comfortable and supportive.

Although the likelihood of these shoes being used for their intended purpose are unlikely, they make a great lifestyle shoe and a worthy addition to any collection.
