NATIVE YOUTH A/W15 MENS COLLECTION
FORM AND FUCTION ARE A UNITY, TWO SIDES OF ONE COIN. IN ORDER TO ENHANCE FUNCTION, APPROPRIATE FORM MUST EXIST OR BE CREATED.
For this coming Autumn/Winter 2015 season British label Native Youth presents an impressive collection, that’s as wearable as it aesthetically appealing. Focusing on the design anatomy alongside product fascia, it sees a combination of work wear with premium detailing that’s evident from their previous collections. Dry waxed cottons, technical rip stop and winter warm polar fleece linings form the pillars of outerwear, whilst water resistant coatings, internal bungee straps and removable inner jackets serve to further enhance functionality to the wearer. There’s also the addition of pieces with a more formal approach, with the presence of a piece such as their pea-coat or wool overcoat.
The brand’s Indigo jersey range has been freshened up with unique texture techniques and fabric combinations. New Introductions of neoprene and bonded space dye jersey keep the collection youthful and fresh in its aesthetic. Prints throughout the collection take form through Japanese Sachiko inspiration and bold geometric patterns. This return to graphic simplicity brings visual impact to the collection.
The Native Youth Autumn/Winter 2015 collection is currently available at select UK stockists including ASOS, Urban Outfitters as well as the Native Youth website.
