Sperry x Velour

Sperry Top-Sider and Velour by Nostalgi are two companies with a rich heritage for footwear and clothing. Their collaboration on a unique footwear collection blends the two and the result is a clean take on a range of classic shoes. The re-worked CVO and Chukka’s are ideal for the season and beyond.

Ever since Paul Sperry invented the world’s first boat shoe for sailors in 1935, Sperry Top-Sider has been a well-known American favourite. Over the years they’ve developed a whole range or products for people that are drawn to the sun, surf and the ocean. Their products are created for performance and built with quality. They now manufacture the same boat shoes as well as loafers, sandals and Oxford shoes for both men and women.

Based in Gothenburg, the Velour by Nostalgi story began in 1997 when Per Anderson opened a store selling deadstock clothing from his grandmother’s shop which closed in the mid 1980’s. Together with the clothing, plus art and design; the store quickly gained a cult following and in 2005 they launched their own collection.

Velour by Nostalgi have always created products that hard-wearing and stay functional in all the environments their costumers like to frequent and that is no different for their collaboration with Sperry Top-Sider. The vulcanized sole ensure that they’re comfortable on foot while treading through the Autumnal conditions as well as being easy to clean. They also have a water resistant rubber upper with heat welded seams. Reminiscent of Scandinavian rain jackets, they’re sure to withstand anything thrown their way.

Available in two colours for each model, they’re highly recommend and available through select Sperry Top-Sider and Velour accounts, plus through their respected websites.
